Write from facts rather than momentum
Pause long enough to remove accusations, assumptions, and details that belong to someone else. For a message about how to resolve a workplace conflict about workload, use this factual base: identify the task, decision, deadline, role, or resource and use dated examples of the impact.
Offer a proportionate next step
Match the size of the request to the relationship and to what the recipient can reasonably decide now. Propose an owner, working rule, or decision route and set a short review point. Make the immediate next step clear enough that the recipient can answer without reconstructing the entire history.
Protect privacy on both sides
Do not retaliate, gossip, conceal risk, or turn a process disagreement into a personal accusation. Use HR, a representative, security, or legal support for discrimination, harassment, threats, retaliation, or unsafe work. Use the most private legitimate channel available and do not share the exchange to recruit support or pressure.
